Facilities
 We have five manufacturing facilities at different locations in the Western part of India that have a logistic advantage being within six hours from a major port.
The company manufactures Inorganic, Oraganic and Fine & Speciality chemicals. There are two units in the state of Gujarat and three units in the state of Maharashtra. The Inorganic Chemicals are produced at one of the facilities in Gujarat while the Organic and Fine & Speciality chemicals are produced at the other facilities. One of the facilities is devoted to the processes Hydrogenation and Reductive Alkylation.
Each of the facilities has DCS controlled operations. The company's main strengths are Nitration, Chlorination and Hydrogenation.
The company also has the technical capabilities to carry out the following reactions at its plants.
- Alkali Fusion - High Temperature Fusion Reactions
- Alkylation – Hydrogenation
- Amination – Nitration
- Chloronation - 0xidative Bromination
- Diazotisation - Reductive alkylation
- Esterification – Sulphonation
- Acylation - High Pressure/ Temperature Oxidations
The manufacturing facilities produce a range of chemicals that cater to a spectrum of industries like Pharmaceuticals, Colourants, Agrochemicals, Cosmetics, Water Treatment & Corrosion Prevention, Rubber and Refineries.
Our facilities are equipped to handle bulk hazardous raw materials like Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Ammonia, Concentrated Nitric Acid, Concentrated Sulphuric Acid, Chlorine and Sulphur Trioxide.
Each manufacturing facility has a proper ETP to ensure that the COD and BOD levels of the discharge are maintained as per the prescribed standards set by the Pollution Control Boards. The Pollution of Flue or Vent gases is monitored on a daily basis as per the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Forests & Environment in each plant. The Inorganic chemicals are largely the Nitrites, Nitrates and Blowing Agents. The Organic chemicals are Nitrochlorobenzenes, Nitrotoluenes, Toluidines, DEMAP, Resorcinol and Xylidines.
A regular review of the Safety measures and HAZOP study is undertaken to ensure that the plants and those working there are protected.
 Hyderabad Specialty Division
Our Hyderabad Specialty Division manufactures DASDA that is used in the manufacture of Optical Brightening Agents (OBA). OBAs are consumed by the paper, textile and detergent industry. HSD's world class quality and competitive manufacturing capabilities have enabled us to take almost 20% of world's market share of DASDA business. Paper and textile segments are showing rapid growth particularly in India and China and DNL through its HSD division is well positioned meet this growing demand.
